Water, sewer, and garbage collection service in Mankato is provided through the City of Mankato. A 13-month history of your utility bills is available at the city web site.

The utility bill includes a charge for water usage. Each unit is equivalent to 100 cubic feet of water (approximately 750 gallons). The sewer charge is also based on the number of water units used. A fixed storm water charge of $3.00 is included. The garbage collection fee is fixed at $12.65 for most residential customers, plus 9.7% state refuse tax ($1.23).
